Hermosa Beach, CA -- May 2, 2001 -- Gefion software today announced the release of InstantOnline Basic™ 3.0, the JavaServer Pages version of its popular web development component suite.

InstantOnline Basic 3.0 is a JavaServer Pages (JSP) custom tag library, compliant with the standard specification from Sun Microsystems. JSP 1.1 custom tags are used as regular HTML/XML elements in web pages to add dynamic features to a web site. InstantOnline Basic 3.0 is based on the popular Java servlet version of the same product, which has been used by customers world-wide to develop sophisticated web applications and dynamic web sites since its release in June 1998. The 3.0 version contains custom tags for accessing databases, generating HTML from database queries, sending email, validating user input, uploading files to a web site, and much more, all without writing a single line of code thanks to the inventive InstantOnline variable expressions.
